Other Activities and Benefits of MembershipBoard Meetings (open to all members) as well as General Membership Meetings are regularly scheduled. General Membership meetings are often scheduled in conjunction with a club activity. Meetings may also include a guest speaker or special educational program of interest to Golden Fanciers. One of the highlights of the year is our Annual Meeting where dogs earning titles during the preceding year are awarded rosettes, and dogs who have met specified requirements are awarded the club's annual trophies. The club has a total of 18 trophies that can be awarded each year. Owners must satisfy an attendance and work requirement to receive trophies and rosettes. Members also receive our club newsletter. A club column is published in the GRCA's Golden Retriever News, allowing us to brag a little about our members' recent accomplishments! A puppy referral service is provided to people looking for qualified breeders, and a referral number is available through the AKC and GRCA. All of these activities and events are made possible by the efforts and dedication of our members. |
